Blooming Flowers All Over

Living in the tropics have its perks of seeing blooming flowers throughout the year.  Though it is during summer months (April to May) that lots of flowers are displaying their beauty.  Today, looking around for my prospect for photo a day challenge I stumble upon two different flowers showing their colorful blooms.  Sometimes while thinking of the subject for the day, another one usually turns up or some random nice images just need to be captured.  I guess that's part of the challenge, there are always interesting things around that is waiting to be noticed.  As for my photo fo the day I chose elephants and you can see it here.

Anyway, here are nature's beauty that I have to share.  Pardon me but I do not know the names of these flowers and if you do please do tell me.

It's buds are tiny with the red color adding a pop against the green leaves

February 2 - Pattern

I started thinking about patterns that can be captured for today's prompt since last night and my first thought was the bed sheet.  When I turned on the laptop this morning I was sitting with the window in front of me.  I was staring at the curtain going over the stuff I need to finish today and then I saw the perfect pattern right in front of me.  No matter how simple it may seem, using Macro with the Canon SX230 sure did the trick.  And some color enhancements completed the image.  I was like a kid clapping in delight when I was done with the picture.  Weeh!
