Have you experienced hearing your kids say something new that you got totally surprised when they said it?
Take my almost 3-yr old Louie, for example.
I was working on my laptop and he was playing nearby.
He was pretending to be in a beach setting using my umbrella.
Then he decides it's eating time and I heard him pray by himself.
Yep, the complete prayer before meals.
I had to stop what I was doing and listen to him.
And when I looked over at him after he finished. He was giving me an embarrassed smile. Hehe...
Then here's another one.
Here's the scene: I was sitting on my desk working then he came over and asked to feed. (He's still breastfeeding, you see.)
Me: Later. Give me five minutes.
Louie: Ok.
But he did not leave.
Louie: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Mama done. Five minutes are over.
I was laughing...
And here's the third one I like to share today.
Louie usually asks to feed before lunch. One particular time he came over too early about 11AM.
Me: Not yet. Mama is still working. Later na.
Louie: Yes, mama. I like to feed now. (He was trying to find a way to get between the arms of my chair and the desk and under my stretched arms typing on the keyboard.)
Me: No Louie! You are not listening to mama.
Louie: No Mama! You are not listening to me! (giving me that mischievous face of his)
I was having a great laugh and gave him a big hug...
I have said it before but I have to say it again:
Kids say the darnest things, don't they?
How about your kids? What new lines have they learned lately?
