February 4 - Hope

How do you capture hope?  I was racking my brain for this one though I already thought of sunrise, growing plants and budding flowers.  I wanted to picture a child in some kind of a pose that depicts the word 'hope'.  And I got two sons here so I guess I have an advantage.  Nevertheless, I woke up early just to shoot the morning sun.

I guess I was still captivated with the blooming flowers of the vine surrounding the neem tree and could not resist shooting away those purple blooms in different angles.  I did a different post on that for the flower pictures and you can go here.  But then I thought that flowers can also be a symbol of hope so I picked one that somehow depict hope.

And then there are my sons that even a small smile from them gives such joy and hope to me as their mom.  Even more hopeful when the two boys are able to build a relationship as brothers that sometimes we have to ask Hammie, my four-year-old, what his little brothers mean.  To make it a simple picture, I wanted to put Hammie's hand palm facing up on my palm, and Louie's palm on top of Hammie's.  But Louie was not up to it so I have to settle with my hand and Hammie's for this shot.
