New Year’s Eve is about being thankful for the year that is
coming to an end and looking forward to another year. So that means putting favorite foods on the
table and just enjoying each other’s company while experiencing the change of
year. I was thinking of cooking lasagna,
calamares then ice cream and blueberry cheesecake for dessert. And do not forget the wine and Cali Ice to
complete the meal.
The picture is not a blueberry cheesecake, as I would have
preferred because there was no more blueberry in can in the grocery stores that
we went to on December 29. So I settled
for the strawberry in can and decided to put in fresh mangoes for a
change. At least there were two choices
for the cheesecake topping. Though I
liked the mango cheesecake as it was refreshing but it might be compared to the
mango float in a sense. And the
strawberry cheesecake was also delish but I’m still a fan of the blueberry
cheesecake. But I enjoyed them both
nonetheless.
January 1 is usually a day to simply eat, sit back and sleep
all day long and that is just what we did.
