When
I went over the list, I already had a picture in mind for today. It was the Christmas card that Hammie, my
4-year old son, made before their Christmas break. The card was a surprise for the parents
during the students’ Christmas party.
Then
earlier today, Hammie was scribbling on blank paper and making hearts. Seeing his Kuya doing this, Louie also wanted
to draw hearts. Louie was beside me and
as he tried creating hearts, he complained, ‘Mama, I can’t’ with a frustrated
look on his face. I said to him, ‘OK,
Mama will help you.’ And so I held his left
hand which was already holding an orange crayon (he’s left-handed, you see) with my left hand and started to draw out an orange heart.
I can still remember the way he smiled after half of the heart was done. And his smile got bigger when it was done.
So,
I decided I’m going to share both photos of hearts made by my two sons.
