January 4 - The View From Here

I was wondering what to share in today's photo of the day.  There were a lot of views I can capture that will tell about what is going on in my side of the world.  But since there was too much cleaning (if there is such as word) going on inside the house, I was staying in our room most of the day.  The kids would go in and out which made working next to impossible.  So I looked forward to the dinner date set and thought that will be the venue for my photo of the day.

Along the way to the newly opened Centrio Mall by Ayala, we passed by this on-going construction at the hi-way.  For more than two years already, there have been various projects that are going on in the city and this building is among the latest addition.  This is going to be the Tune Hotel of Cagayan de Oro.

In case you do not know, Tune Hotel is a chain of hotels from Malaysia.  This is a budget type hotel with the amenities available at additional cost.  So meaning if you book a night with them, you only pay a minimal fee.  But if you want to use the aircon, TV, Wi-Fi, towel and toiletries those will be provided at some cost.  And since I am a backpack traveller, I look forward to going to places with hotels such as these including gohotels.  I believe this one is the first in Mindanao and the fifth one in the Philippines.

With the putting up of this hotel in Cagayan de Oro, it just goes to show that the city is becoming a sought after place to go.  What are you waiting for, come and explore the City of Golden Friendship!
